It allows developers to be sure they have a sound foundation for each new project.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>CodeCommit\u003C\u002Fstrong> is the first link in the chain, where the code is stored.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>CodeBuild\u003C\u002Fstrong> implements the build, test, and deliverable generation phases. It can be launched at each commit in CodeCommit, for example.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>CodeArtifact\u003C\u002Fstrong> is an artifact repository. It can be used to store CodeBuild results for projects such as a library. Let’s say the developers of another project need this library to be up to date to move forward with their project. A reference to the artifact repository will then be available in their dependency management tools.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Elastic Container Registry (ECR)\u003C\u002Fstrong> is a Docker image registry. It can be used in the same way as CodeArtifact, assuming CodeBuild has generated one or more Docker images, and that these images are useful for other projects or for the delivery phase.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\n\n\u003Ch3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aws-tools-for-continuous-delivery-cd\">AWS Tools for Continuous Delivery (CD)\u003C\u002Fh3>\n\n\n\u003Cp>Continuous delivery involves the automation of the deployment phases, with the exception of production deployment (which is done manually).\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>CodeDeploy\u003C\u002Fstrong> makes it possible to deploy or update an application on AWS or on-premise servers.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>CodePipeline\u003C\u002Fstrong> serves as the link between \u003Cstrong>CI\u003C\u002Fstrong> and \u003Cstrong>CD\u003C\u002Fstrong>. A pipeline defines a workflow that can start with the commit and extend all the way to the deployment:\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\n\n\u003Ch2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-which-aws-tools-can-be-used-for-infrastructure-as-code\">Which AWS Tools Can Be Used for Infrastructure as Code?\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\n\n\u003Cul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Faws.amazon.com\u002Ffr\u002Fcdk\u002F?nc2=h_ql_prod_dt_cdk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CDK (Cloud Development Kit)\u003C\u002Fa>\u003C\u002Fstrong> can be used to set up the infrastructure (that will run your project) as code.\u003Cbr>Compatible with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, and Go (in Developer Preview), it transforms your favorite programming language into an AWS configuration managed by \u003Cstrong>CloudFormation\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>CloudFormation\u003C\u002Fstrong> can be used directly to automate the instantiation of resources in AWS.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Let’s look at a simple example in TypeScript. These first bricks are the foundation of your AWS infrastructure. However, in order to adhere to DevSecOps methodology as closely as possible and obtain a consistent stack, additional bricks are required: in particular, monitoring and collaboration.
